Neil Wertlieb Returns to Expert Witness Work After Retiring From Milbank LLP as its First-Ever General Counsel
I am pleased to announce my return to expert witness work after serving as General Counsel of Milbank LLP for the past two and a half years.
Previously, I was a Partner at Milbank for two decades before retiring in 2016 to focus on expert witness engagements. Five years later, I had the opportunity to return to Milbank as its first-ever General Counsel — a role I could not pass up despite my passion for expert witness work.
During my tenure as General Counsel, I was instrumental in establishing Milbank’s Office of General Counsel, implementing new and efficient procedures for onboarding legal engagements and lateral partners, coordinating regulatory and compliance matters across the firm’s various practices, and managing risk generally.
Having achieved my objectives, I am now retiring from Milbank for the second time, confident that the firm is in capable hands. It has been an honor to work with such a talented and supportive team.
I am returning to Wertlieb Law Corp, where I will continue to provide expert witness services. I have been engaged as an expert in over a hundred cases, primarily involving lawsuits against lawyers and business-related disputes. I look forward to applying my experience as General Counsel at a top-tier law firm to my expert witness work.
I’m excited to embark on this new chapter of my career — even if it is one we have read before!
